Enamelled copper wire is suitable for the construction of RF coils and transformers. The windings can be made either on variable coil supports as our kit SBK... and on toroids, binoculars, beads and ferrite rods, the enamel is resistant to about 155 °C (class F) so it can be dissolved by a medium heat welder.
The smaller diameters (0.2 - 0.25 - 0.3 - 0.4 - 0.5 mm) are available in three different colors: red, green and natural orange, this is useful to easily make two-wire or three-wire windings, but also for other special applications, such as a different color for coils that would be similar then you could easily confuse them, and so on. The diameters from 0.5 to 1 mm are only available in natural orange only.
All types are supplied on a reel, the quantity on every reel was chosen in order to provide a kit with a good selection but at a low cost.
