2SC787 is a IF/RF/VHF/UHF transistor, it is not very well known in Europe because it is manufactured in Japan from Toshiba. Its specifications are quite similar to other types made in Europe like BFY90, BFX89, BF199, BF183, BF377, BF378, etc..., and other types made in USA like 2N3904, etc... Some common applications are: oscillator circuits from HF to UHF and general purpose IF/RF/VHF/UHF amplifiers.
