RF directional coupler 10 dB designed for professional test and measurement and power monitoring in RF and microwave setups where compact size, SMA connectivity and broadband performance are required. It is a practical option for bench instrumentation, laboratory fixtures and RF subsystems built around SMA interconnects.
Model DC-10-0218-SMA targets the 2–18 GHz application band and is specified 1–18 GHz at 50 Ω, featuring three SMA female connectors compliant with MIL-STD-348A. This layout supports repeatable integration with RF instruments, attenuators, loads and SMA cabling.
The nominal 10 dB coupling provides a useful sample level when feeding a power sensor or power meter without adding extra gain stages. The coupler maintains VSWR ≤ 1.50, helping reduce reflections and measurement uncertainty, and offers directivity ≥ 12 dB for more reliable forward and reflected power monitoring.
Main-line insertion loss is limited to 0.8 dB, minimizing impact on the RF chain. Coupling sensitivity ≤ ±1.0 dB helps keep the coupled-port level consistent across the operating band.
The coupler supports up to 20 W continuous input power, suitable for many laboratory tests and production verification tasks. Construction is intended for professional RF environments, with an aluminum-alloy housing and stainless-steel connector bodies.
Operating temperature is specified from -40 °C to +85 °C. The product is compliant with RoHS 3 and REACH, easing integration into regulated applications.
The SMA version is well suited when you need a compact, repeatable setup up to 18 GHz, typical of RF labs, module validation and subsystem testing. A 10 dB directional coupler is generally selected when a stronger sample level is required; for lighter sampling, 20 dB or 30 dB variants are often preferred.
The datasheet includes typical S-parameter curves for the 10 dB configuration, supporting quick performance evaluation and broadband system integration.
