This IC is a high performances front-end for RX from 400 to 1300 MHz with low noise first stage, in fact the total noise figure (fist stage + mixer) is about 2.7 dB that is equal to about -120/-118 dBm of sensitivity at 12 dBS/N, it has a good thermal compensation within +/-0.2 dBG from -40 to +85 °C
- LNA first stage: 1.6 dBNF 15 dBG @ 430 MHz / 1.6 dBNF 12 dBG @ 900 MHz
- Mixer: 5 - 9 dBG, LO only -7 dBm because it has an internal buffer
LNA stage and mixer are not connected so it is possible to add an external filter, see also Philips application notes AN1777, AN1000 and AN95021
