In this section are described the power chip attenuators, characterized by a good precision, the full continuous power can be reached only by adding a quite big heat-sink or a cooling fan.
The heat-sink used in the mounting examples is not adequate for a continuous usage, the pictures show the prototypes made and tested in our lab only for exemplification purpose, the attenuators are supplied in their original packege without the heat-sink. The tracks of the p.c. board are at 50Ω and for a better dissipation we strongly suggest to mount the attenuators in the center of the heat sink surface.
