This heater is useful to bring the temperature of a crystal to 41°C. The temperature of 41°C has been chosen because it allows to use this heater on 25°C common crystals.
The electronic part is made of a little alumina circuit board on which it will be placed the crystal and then fixed by a heathshrink tube, the alumina pcb allows a big thermal exchange from the heater to the crystal.
The crystal is laid on the alumina in order to make an unique solid body. The temperature precision is about ±0.1 °C and it represents a good alternative to the more expensive +70 / 75°C ovens.
It has to be cosidered also that 70°C ovens have a considerable current consumption.
