The SUCOFLEX_106 cable, for applications up to 18 GHz, is definitely a high-performance cable and surely one of the best available, it is part of the Huber+Suhner Sucoflex family and having the biggest diameter (7.9mm) it has the best features such as:

- Very low attenuation: for example 0.16 dB/m at 1 GHz, 0.55 dB/m at 10 GHz
- Very high power handling: for example 5000W at 100 MHz, 1580W at 1 GHz
- High shielding: for example 120 dB at 1 GHz
- High flexibility: 24 mm min. radius
- High temperature range: –55/+165 °C
- Very good impedance matching and precision: 50Ω (±1)

This cable is used typically used for laboratory tests and measures, even in applications requiring good phase stability, the main feature that distinguishes it from other excellent teflon cables (eg MULTIFLEX_141 or RG393) consists in particular dielectric made of microporous and ultra flexible PTFE, in fact, the use of teflon dielectric (εr 2.05) alone is not enough to achieve a high-performance cable, while the introduction of air in the same dielectric (εr 1.65) enhances the excellent characteristics of teflon improving all other features in RF.
